NatWest is requiring 13,000 staff members to increase their in-office attendance from two days per month to two days per week starting February 2027. The banking group, which operates under the Royal Bank of Scotland, NatWest, and Coutts brands, will apply this schedule to nearly all of its 40,000 UK employees, according to The Guardian.
The move scraps a remote-first policy that currently applies to thousands of workers. The bank's staff union expressed anger at the decision.
The change will take effect in February 2027.
