Harvey Nichols will close its Birmingham store in January, eliminating at least 60 jobs. The chain's Leeds and Bristol locations will be converted to Flannels, a brand owned by Frasers Group.
Mike Ashley's Frasers Group, which owns Sports Direct, acquired Harvey Nichols for £43 million in mid-August when the department store chain entered administration. The Knightsbridge headquarters in London will remain open.
The Birmingham closure and regional conversions represent the first major restructuring since Frasers took control. Harvey Nichols operated as a standalone luxury department store chain before the acquisition.
