Tommy Robinson told his harassment trial that he hired private investigators to photograph the homes of journalists who reported on his alleged involvement in the 2024 riots, according to The Guardian.
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, admitted using the investigators to track down the journalists. He stated in court that he had the photos taken "to put pressure" on them.
The far-right activist also shared photos of one journalist's wife and daughter, The Guardian reports. Robinson denied that these actions were intended to intimidate or bully the journalists.
The admission came during his harassment trial. The case centres on Robinson's response to coverage of his alleged role in 2024 riots. Robinson's use of private investigators to locate and photograph journalists, and his subsequent sharing of images of their family members, forms the core of the allegations against him.
